StaffEx is looking for a Systems Administrator for the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections
  Department Name: Information Technology
  Position Title:  Systems Administrator
  Pay Rate: $35/hr
  Assigned Work Location: ESC
  Hours: Standard 8: 00am – 5: 00pm with the availability to work earlier, later and weekends
  POSITION DESCRIPTION/PURPOSE
  Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing information systems and information technology initiatives as assigned.

  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Responsible for setting up, managing, and resolving issues related to routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment. This includes both local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), as well as handling VPN and Internet  connectivity
 
  • Maintain corporate infrastructure, including networks, hardware, software, voice, data, firewalls, and licensing, assuring continuous systems  availability
 
  • Monitor the system daily and respond quickly to any security or usability  concerns
 
  • Manage LAN/WAN security at four  locations
 
  • Recommend, develop, and deploy upper-level IT  solutions
 
  • Support hardware and software for employees in four  locations
 
  • Install, configure, and rebuild existing servers as  assigned
 
  • Implement organizational policies through Global Group Policies, and other  solutions
 
  • Operate and maintain active directory data  base
 
  • Complete user setups including hardware, software and systems access, providing technical support and troubleshooting as  required
 
  • Assist with organization video, badge access security, and phone  system
 
  • Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current  system
 
  • Assist with onsite servicing, staging, testing and set-up of  EViDs  and associated early voting  equipment
 
  • Assist with network adds, moves, and changes as assigned.
 
  • Respond to and resolve help desk  requests
 
  • Oversee helpdesk and provide upper-level support as  needed
 
  • All other duties as  assigned
 
 QUALIFICATIONS
  
  • 4 years direct supervisory/management experience or a  Bachelor' s Degree  from an accredited four-year degree granting college or university
 
  • Ability and willingness to lead teams and to work as a team member under other’ s  leadership
 
  • Knowledge of information technology infrastructure development,  standards  and protocols
 
  • Knowledge on Active Directory, domain controllers, and server management
 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with VMware and Microsoft Server Software
 
  • Expert knowledge of system security concerns and vulnerabilities
 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet  deadlines
 
  • Possession of a valid and current FL Driver License with no more than seven points
