Position: EV Lead
Industry: Elections Office
Assigned Work Location: Orlando, FL 32806
Pay Rate: $15/Hr
Hours: Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, plus nights and weekends as needed (Note: Around 6 weeks of overtime hours around each election period)

EV Lead Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and coordination of 2-4 assigned EV site staffing teams across Orange County 
  • Providing support for hiring, onboarding, and training of EV site staff 
  • Helping facilitate various EV site staff trainings (from prep to in-class support) 
  • Coordinating and facilitating meet and greets with EV site staff 
  • Serving as a liaison between the SOE office, the EV staff on site, and the EV site managers and staff 
  • Ensuring that EV Sites run smoothly and according to Election Laws 
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records (staff applications, site assignments, training, work hours, etc.) Assisting with
  • EV supply management from inventorying to organization to supply delivery. 
  • Managing high-pressure situations and rapidly changing priorities 
  • Always Maintaining a professional manner and customer-oriented attitude 
  • Fulfilling the mission of the Orange County Supervisor of Elections’ office: We uphold fair and secure elections, we strengthen public trust in the process, and encourage active participation in democracy. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned
What will you need as a Customer Service?
  • Nonpartisan in all work-related duties and roles ï‚§ Ability to organize, complete, and monitor tasks with accuracy 
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal ï‚§ Experience with spreadsheets, email, word processing, and the ability to quickly learn inhouse programs 
  • Ability to manage simultaneous projects, which have absolute, but sometimes rapidly changing deadlines 
  • Excellent supervisory skills, especially of diverse, collaborative teams 
  • High level problem-solving and critical thinking skills, especially in a fast-paced environment 
  • Experience with customer service practices – flexibility, patience, and community engagement ï‚§ Knowledge of general office practices and procedures ï‚§ Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time 
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and the ability to use a personal vehicle 
  • Available to work extended days and weekends with little or no advance notice
