Vote by Mail Opening Clerk Responsibilities:
Assist with the Vote-by-Mail opening process in coordination with the Vote-by-Mail Support & Mail Clerk
Assist with the Ballot removal from certificates and preparation of ballot batches to be processed
Assist with the duplication process
Assist with completing control sheet paperwork for processing batches
Assist with support on the high-speed machines
Assist with research and resolution of batch errors and retrieve certificates if needed
Perform all other duties as assigned
What will you need as a Vote by Mail Opening Clerk?
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior work experience in a customer service position
Prior work experience in a position with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Good listening skills and desire to serve customers
Have reliable transportation
Ability to sit for long periods of time while sorting paper
Ability to commit to the full assignment as hours of work are not guaranteed
Report to work on time
Be able to speak and write English
Must remain nonpartisan while on duty
Refrain from using personal electronics or other distractions while on duty
Agree to be seen by public via live stream cameras
Be comfortable with Media presence and or being recorded.
