StaffEx is currently hiring a shipping clerk for a local manufacturing company in the Oldsmar area. The position is working Monday- Thursday from 6: 00 AM- 4: 30 PM with overtime hours on Friday and Saturday. This position is paying from $12- $15 an hour DOE.

The perfect candidate will have the knowledge to convert weights and understand how to read a ruler. This position verifies quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Compares items packed with customer's order and other identifying data.

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Operates fork lift to move, convey, or hoist shipments.

Constructs wooden or cardboard containers.

Assembles wooden or cardboard containers for shipment of product.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and other employees.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and ability to compute percentages.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
