Data Entry Specialist Job Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and expedient data entry
Assist the public with election and registration information by telephone and in person
Assist voters with completing voter registration applications in the office or by phone
Assist with incoming and outgoing mail processing
Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work area
Communicate and interact effectively and pleasantly with co-workers, supervisors, the general public, and elected officials
Operate and utilize automated office equipment including multi-line telephone, document scanner, copier, shredder, stamp machine, etc.
Utilize software provided by the Election’s office
Perform other related tasks as required
What will you need as an Data Entry Specialist?
Excellent face-to-face customer service skills
Excellent written communication skills
Physically able to lift 15 pounds (such as a case of bottled water)
Can adapt to a fast-changing situation
Detail-oriented, computer software proficient
Willing to work some overtime and weekends when needed
Must be able to pass a background check and a 5 panel drug test
